Yvonne T Larsson

Born in Karlstad, Sweden 1952.

Lives, works and breeds horses on the countryside 20 km north of Gothenburg, Sweden.

I am a sculptor and I used to say: “The idea always comes first and then the material.” In my case it has been concrete, iron, stone , bronze or whatever. Now, due to a back injury, I can only carry my own weight and am compelled to say the opposite: “ First the material, as light as possible, then the idea” I am grateful for this limitation as it forces me to think differently and that in turn stimulates new forms of expression in my work.
